This kinbaku session took place during one of our live streams. Kinbaku is something that should be experienced in person. A video, however, can show what a still photograph cannot: how breathing changes, how the person tying moves, and how the body responds to the rope.
Kirigami works on the floor, on the tatami, beneath the bamboo beam. Tenshiko wears a shirt and underwear. The tying begins with the arms and torso. This is not a full suspension: it is a pull, a shifting of weight, a position that gradually becomes more demanding. The close-up of her face matters more than the geometry of the ropes. What matters is the expression, not the pattern.
Towards the end, the ropes are untied. Tenshiko gets dressed again. They remain seated next to each other. This, too, is part of the session.
