Can’t see the Telegram channel? How to enable sensitive content
To view adult-only content, you may need to enable it in your Telegram account settings (opt in). The option’s availability depends on your account, country and app version.
Using Telegram Web, including on iPhone or iPad
- Open Telegram Web A in your browser.
- Sign in to the same account you use in the app, using a QR code or your phone number and login code. If prompted, also enter your two-step verification password.
- Open the Telegram menu and go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Sensitive Content.
- Enable the option to show adult content. Depending on the language and version, it may be called Show 18+ Content or Disable filtering. Follow any confirmation prompt displayed by Telegram. If age verification is required, complete the official process.
- Return to the channel links on this page, open the one you’re interested in and select Join or Subscribe, depending on the label shown. If the app does not pick up the change immediately, close it completely and reopen it.
If the option is missing or the channel is still blocked
Check that you are using the same account on the web and in the app, and update Telegram. In some app versions, the option is under Settings → Data and Storage → Show 18+ Content. If it is unavailable, try the Telegram Web A procedure above. Telegram may not allow this setting to be changed for your account or in your region. Opting in does not remove every restriction or restore channels that have been deleted or are no longer available.
