In this shibari shooting Dana is subjected to a practice known as mizuseme (水責め see Wikipedia), or water torture.
Dana came to Milan during the month of June 2023 together with her boyfriend N. The model in this shibari shoot has really extreme tastes. We did this kinbaku session together with the help of a tub, 10 kg of ice and Dana’s and N.’s nerves of steel.
Cri, my lighting assistant for this shoot, played an equally important part, always in the right place at the right time.
Shibari and water session
At the beginning of the bondage session, Dana is tied in a gote, which is the binding of the arms behind the back. The design chosen is called “ohishi”: big diamond shape, which is a very traditional design. This binding was in fact used in the past for torture that was anything but erotic.
Following the gote, I also bind the legs and suspend Dana by the ankles. The model is then ready to be plunged into the water. After repeated plunges, already close to the limit both physically and emotionally, she prepares for yet another challenge: the tub fills with ice.
Again our model is repeatedly plunged head first into the tub of ice water with the help of a pulley system.
Finally, at the end of the kinbaku session, the shibari model is brought back to the ground, N. grabs her by the hair and pushes her head into the ice for a few last, intense dips.
Bondage and water: notes about safety
It is unnecessary to emphasize the danger of a bondage session that includes, among other things, hanging upside down and immersion in ice water.
To improve the safety of this session, we made a stop knot on the pulley rope so as to prevent falls in case of accidental slips. In addition, Dana’s physical fitness and her habit of intense sessions are really remarkable. Indeed, it is good to avoid sessions that are too intense with respect to the mental and physical fitness of the people involved.
