Japanese bondage was born with a deep link to traditional architecture made of wooden pillars and beams. Our preference always goes to solutions integrated in architecture.
When this is not possible, a movable structure, often called “bondage frame” are used. Because of portability, resistence and security Rope Tales chose a Taixo iron bondage frame.
Our movable structure was customized to be more heavy, for further security during shows.
There are many other solutions, some over-the-counter, other craftly doable. These requirese specific professional skills. To make a hole in the cieling e to put a nog inside it, is NOT safe unless you do it fine with the right materials properly used.
Scaffolding poles
Scaffolding poles are an extremely cheap and flexible solution. In a small amount of time, they allow the realization of site-specific structures, with no holes drilled in the walls, and nothing leaving a permanent mark in the location. To use scaffolding poles allow to create multiple suspension points, optimizing space consumption, or even to satisfy specific requests for a show. I some cases anyway, the industrial look they give is not desirable, as it doesn’t look great with every location.
To avoid accidents, it is important to protect conveniently the iron joints between a pole and another.
You can find scaffold poles in almost all big builder’s stores. If you need advice you can contact me.
Other kinds of structure
It is possible to find cheap solutions over-the-counter; thay are normally project to hold amacas or similar items. These structures normally have small bases, that makes them unbalanced, and they also often have horizontal elements tuching the ground. These elements could become a landing point for the bound person. In case you can not use a true bondage frame, it is wise to protect the horizontal elements on the ground with something soft; as to be sure the person landing will find something soft.
